Construction decisions happen in email — while the job’s context lives in another tab. Girderly was built by a contractor who lived that gap every day. Here’s the story, and the reason behind the name.
Built by a contractor who lives in the inbox

Girderly didn’t start as a software idea. It started as a daily frustration.
I’m Brian Krpec. Alongside Girderly, I own Affluent Contractors, a full-service interior & exterior contracting company serving Austin, DFW, Houston, and San Antonio. Before contracting, I spent 25+ years in enterprise technology and global business — working my way from Account Manager to SVP of Global Sales and CEO, leading high-performing teams and delivering complex solutions for some of the most recognized brands in the world. I learned what exceptional client service looks like, and what separates the companies people trust from the ones they simply tolerate.
We run Affluent on JobTread™, and it’s the backbone of how we operate — customers, jobs, estimates, schedules, financials, all in one place. But there was one gap I hit every single day: my team lives in email, and JobTread lived in another tab. Every customer message meant stopping, switching windows, hunting for the contact, checking the job, finding the financials — then switching back to reply. Multiply that across a whole company and it’s hours a week lost to the shuffle. I couldn’t find a tool that fixed it, so I built one.
Why “Girderly”?
In construction, a girder is the primary load-bearing beam — the structural backbone that carries the smaller beams, joists, and trusses. Everything rests on it.
Your inbox is the girder of how companies communicate. It’s still the primary channel businesses use with their customers — for updates, for support, for getting work done.
Girderly brings your whole job — contacts, jobs, vendors, financials — straight into that channel, right in your inbox. We think of your inbox as the girder of your tech stack: the beam everything else rests on. And when your whole team can work from it without switching tabs, everyone gets to work a little more efficient… -ly.
What we’re building
Girderly brings your job software into your inbox — it looks up whoever you’re emailing and surfaces their contact, their jobs, their financials, and one-click actions without ever leaving your inbox. Open an email, and the context is just there. It runs as a Gmail™ add-on and an Outlook add-in.
And now it’s getting smarter. Girderly’s Smart Inbox reads the email you have open and does the busywork for you — summarizing a long message into the key points, answering it from your job data, or turning it into to-dos — so the follow-up is halfway done before you reply. That’s the next step in the same mission.
The goal is simple: give contractors their time back. No more tab-switching, no more digging for the job before you reply. The information meets you where the work already happens.
The standard we hold
I’ve applied the same principles to Girderly that built Affluent: skilled work, proven process, and an unwavering commitment to the people using it. Girderly LLC is a Texas company. We connect with your own authorization on each platform, read only what we need, and build for contractors because we are one.
This industry deserves better tools. We’re building them.
